The 'Friends of the Museum' were formed to help raise funds to maintain the museum and to aid in the recruitment of volunteer staff to man the museum during the summer months.
The secretaries to the friends are Mrs Chris Sargent and Mrs Avis Hilder. For a yearly subscription of £5, or £8 for couples, the members are entitled to join the coach trips (4 or 5 a year) to places of historical interest throughout the South and Southwest. These trips are organised by our Curator, Ted Gosling.
A 12-page newsletter is distributed to members three times a year.
